  • SHINNY HRSN: Needed for all bundles.
  • Profiled off of the base FHIR Encounter: An interaction between a patient and healthcare provider(s) for the purpose of providing healthcare service(s) or assessing the health status of a patient.

Purpose

The SHINNY Encounter resource is profiled off of the USCore Encounter, which sets minimum expectations for the Encounter resource to record, search, and fetch basic encounter information for an individual patient. It identifies which core elements, extensions, vocabularies and value sets SHALL be present in the resource when using this profile.

Usage

The Encounter profile is required for all screening, assessment and referral bundles.

Location References

The Location reference within the Encounter profile is required for all screenings.

Note that the meta.profile used for the location is the SDOH Clinical Care profile and when this profile is used the location.name is required for all locations.
